what we charge and how we charge for it
There are several methods which you can use to pay for the work which we do for you on the Mortgage front...
'Commission'
Nearly all mortgage providers will pay a 'procuration fee' or commission for introducing new business to them. In most instances, this 'commission' will be sufficient to pay for our advice and administration time. However, there may be instances where the 'commission' does not cover our time, and so we also offer a pure fee based option.
Fee based
Should you prefer us to work on a fee basis, we are more than happy to do so. Our advice and administration time, is charged on an hourly rate (at 15 minute intervals). All fees will be agreed in advance, and would be payable within timescales agreed by both of us. For mortgage cases, the minimum fee which we would normally charge for completing a mortgage would be £500, but this can be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Combination of fee and commission
As we mentioned in the 'commission' section above, should the commission alone not cover our advice and administration time, we will normally charge a fee to cover the difference. This again will be agreed in advance, with the fee being payable within mutually agreed timescales. To give an example;
For Example - a £100,000 mortgage might pay us a £350 procuration fee/commission. We would therefore charge you a fee of £150 in addition to receiving the commission, making up the £500 total remuneration to cover our time .
