Keith Bonner Dip PFS
Director & Compliance Oversight
Keith joined Pembroke Financial Services in 2003, initially on a self-employed basis. He discovered that, after only a few months, it was very obvious that he had found his long term ‘home’. It made sense to ask about buying into Pembroke and this happened very soon afterwards. 17 years later, Keith is a 25% owner of the business and we are all very proud of the fact that Keith has helped the business to grow significantly to its current level as one of Sussex’s premier IFAs.
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can’t make me happy.
– Spike Milligan
Keith’s background before joining Pembroke was in High Street Banks, where he spent the formative years of his Financial Services career. Keith says “It provided me with invaluable training and skills which I still use today. What I did want was to be my own boss and have the whole of the market available to me when advising clients on all aspects of financial planning. The world of Independent Financial advice beckoned, and I haven’t looked back”.
Over more recent years Keith has spent a lot of time advising clients in relation to their retirement and pension planning and, more recently, he has become more involved with more specialised tax planning advice using efficient investments such as Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS), Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS) and Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) which Keith now uses widely as part of his ‘holistic advice’ process.
Keith acts as Portfolio Oversight for the Pembroke Investment Committee ensuring our work is always sense checked. This involves Keith checking the asset allocation and risk tolerance of our Portfolios to ensure they remain in line with our expectations. He is also oversight for the Drawdown Portfolio
Out of work Keith enjoys spending time with family, cooking and cycling (when the weather and his busy diary allows!) and also clay pigeon shooting.
Thanks for the update on our investments. We are very pleased as usual, please pass our thanks to the other Keith too. Given the current climate, we feel very lucky! Many thanks for your prompt attention, and excellent service!
Thank you very much, Keith, and thanks again for your time and patience today. Jack and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit – and that’s not something that is said when visiting most financial institutions!
We are confident that going forward we have a healthier handle on this area of our finances and really appreciate the professionalism of Pembroke.
I took the jump and dived in to look at my pension, well you are all very clever because considering the markets I was pleasantly surprised, I realise this is a lot of work for you all but I am very grateful.
Your help going through my Investments and Pensions and your advice concerning the future really helped me plan the next 5 years. As I mentioned I am extremely grateful to you and all at Pembroke for all your good advice over the last 15 years or so which has certainly borne fruit.
